THE DIAMOND MAKER.

BIG FRAUD CASE. LEMOINE'S SECRET TO BE DISCLOSED. - By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright. (Received April 16, 8.8 a.m.) LONDON, April 15. The Divisional Court has ordered the (Jnion of London Smiths' Bank to deliver to tho -Bow Street Magistrate the packet su posed to contain M. Lemoine's ionnula for diamond making. Mr Alvcston remarked that the Court had not dirocted what the Magistrate should do with the packet. [Lemoine was arrested in Paris early in January on a charge of swindling; Sir Julius Wernher of £64,000 by pretending to manufacture diamonds. Lemoino held that he had demonstrated his discovery, and that Messrs Beit and .Wernher and others at the head of the diamond trade had ratified his claims. On the other hand, it was reported that, a jeweller had given evidence that he had furnished Lemoine with fusible plugs for the crucibles used in the experiments, so that, real diamonds could be. concealed in them. It appears that Lemoine's contract with Sir Julius Wernher stipulated that the formula" of the manufacture of diamonds should ho deposited in a London bank, and should not be opened until Lemoine's death, when it would become the property of Sir Julius. The magistrate who has boon hearing the case in Franco intimated some time ago that lie waa considering the question of obtaining and opening the envelope. An application was mad/? at the Bow Street Police Court a few weeks ago on behalf of the French Government to obtain the release of the envelope containing the formula of the French engineer Lemoine for tho manufacture of diamonds. The Court refused tfap application, as Lemoine . objected to the release of the envelope.]
