Mr G. Hales, the well-know v war correspondent, proposes to em or the election contest for the Manchester seat, against the present holder, Mr Winston Churchill, w ho has to offer himself for re-election on account of his promotion to the Cabinet. Mr Hales stands as a representative of Labour, a tariff reformer and an army reformer. Mr Joyuson Hicks, who was defeated by Mr Churchill at last election, will also stand as the official representative of the" Unionist Party.
