ORCHESTRAL CONCERT.

WEDNESDAY NIGH£.;.^ To-jnorrow feyonmg the New Plymouth Orchestral Society will give * concert in the Recreation Grounds in aid o£ the Sports Ground. The programme to be rendered consists of selections from grand and comic opera. "3?ne Mikado" was played here by Williamson's Opera Gompuny two years ago, and its music is always well .received. So are the selections from "The Gondoliers," which, it will be remombered,was played by the lo6ai Amateurs some five years ago. The selections from "Paul/Jones!' and "BeUs of Normandy," by Planquette are bright, sparkling; and=eery' tuneful. ' was played by Jhe German Opera Company. "Lustspiel" is a very pretty piece by Kelerißela.
