REDUCED FREIGHTS.

ON HOME-GOING STEAMERS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 13. It is announced by the four steamship companies — the Shaw; Savill and Albion Company, the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Tyser line, and the New Zealand and African -Company, trading between New Zealand and England — that a reduction will be made in tho freight to the Old Country. The alteration dates from to-day, and is to hold good until Septembor 30 next. Tho reductions arc as follows : — Wool and skins, Jd per lb; hemp and tow, 10/ per ton weight; and tallow and pelts, 5/ per ton weight.
