It is understood that tho Labom' caucus is willing to support Sir W. Lyue, as Premier, if the party is given a' majority of the portfolios. Labour members want .four portfolios and ono appointment as honorary-member of the Cabinet, leaving Sir W. Ljno throeportfolios nutl one honorary membership. There i.s a possibility that Mr Deakin may consent to rcinain in office until the close of the session. This would hu it Sir W. Lyne better. Ho would then be prepaid to undertake tho formation of a ministry. /
