THE BOYCOTT EFFECTIVE. JAPANESE SHIPPING LOSES HEAVILY.
(Received April 13, 8.30 a.m.) PEKIN, April 12. The last Japanese steamer which sailed from China to San Francisco, the America Maru, went without a single package of Chinese cargo and with only twenty-five passengers, as compared with 730 who wero aboard the Empress of India, which sailed on Thursday.
