BERLIN, April 12. Tho Gorman Government lias refused permissiou lor the erection of a .vtatiio of Virchow. The residents of licrlin are greatly annoyed at this decision. '[Virchow wa.s an eminent medical scientist olr last century. He put into definite form the theory that animal life was made up of the combined life of numerous cells, and invented a system of medical treatment to accord with this theory. lie is considered the father of the pathological scientists who are trying to reduce medical treatment to an cxrtct science.
