RELIGION AND EDUCATION. PROPOSED CONFERENCE OF CHURCHES.
LONDON, April 12. The consultative committee of the National Education Society, at a meeting over which* the Archbishop of Canterbury presided, passed a resolution in favour of a conference of Anglican churchmen, non-conformists, and Roman Catholics being held to adjust differences and maintain religious teaching in the national education system.
