WAITARA HARBOUR BOARD.

(Prom Our Own Correspondent. J '■She monthly, meeting of the Waitara Harbour Board was held on Monday evening. Present: Messrs Stubbs (chairman), Chappell, Foreman, and Jenkins. Messrs Okey and Rollo notified the Board that they 1 had inspected fcho dredge and gave details of the work required to -be done . and quoted a price. The terms were accepted by tho Board. - ■ : , Accounts amounting to £132 3s 2d were passed for payment. • The balance-sheet for the post year was adopted. # , , ;•"' 'The Board went into committee to discuss , the conditions on which new leases should he granted to tenants. After considerable discussion ,tt was decided to hold the matter over until next meeting. Mr L. H. Sampson was granted two weeks' holiday. It/ was resolved that the Colonial Treasurer should be asked for a loan of JO£OOO for the rebuilding of the Wait^ra. Bridge.
