Union met ♦thist^eVenfng,- when 1 'the following ' <recommendations were made for the consideration of the New Zealand Rugby Union at its annual meeting to be held next month : — (1) That at least 50- per cent., of the profits of every match played under the auspices of the New Zealand Union be handed over to the local* union on whose ground the matoh is played ; (2) that it is desirable that measures should be taken to .empower lii^^utopires to assist the referee in detectfng instances of rough play.
