A CIVIL SERVANT'S RETIREMENT.
WELLINGTON/ March 81. Mr. W. Thompson,; for 24 years on the head office staff of the Public Works Department, is retiring upon superannuation to-day. His fellow;O,fficers presented h?m with gifts. Appreciative references to the new-super-annuation scheme were made by Mr. H. J. H. Blow, Under-Secretary for Public Works, and others.
