TRANSIT IN NEW PLYMOUTH.

♦ — MOTOK 'BUS SERVICE. An endeavour is being made to float a company in New Plymouth to run motor 'busses between the town and its principle suburbs. By Saturday next it is expected thai two motor 'busses capable of carrying 30 passengers each will bo running between New Plymouth and the breakwater and New Plymouth and Fitzroy. Tho travelling, including stoppages, wfti be at the rate of 15 miles an hour. The conveyances are being shipped from Lyttelton to-day- They wore in use in Chfistchnrch where they paid well until the advent of the electrical services. It is urged by those who favour the scheme that in Nelson a motor service is paying well, and that a service in New Plymouth would pay better as there is more traffic to the suburbs. From what can be gathered the promoters propose to float a company with a capital of £4000 in 10s shares. Two 'busses will run regularly-— one to the breakwater and one to Fitzroy — and ono would be kept for excursions (sucb as mountain trips) and hire. The breakwater and Fitzroy trips would be done in penny sections, three sections on earth run. A vehicle to hold 15 or 20 persqns might also be put on the Vogeltown run. Tho man who is bringing the 'busses has faith in tho scheme and is prepared . to take, two hundred shares. By ah improved connection with tho town, the promoters further urge, the suburban property would bo greatly enhanced in fcalue.
