There is a good local demand, but no speculative^ demand. Hemp — The market is quiet,- -but rather steadier. Heavy shipments are expected from Manila. Following are current quotations: — Good fair grade on the spot £24 IDs, fair grade on the spot £22, fair current Manila on the spot £24 10s. April to June shipments are quoted as follows : — Good fair grade £23.105, fa^r. grade £21 10s, fair <mrrent Manila £23 10s. ',;, < Cocksfoot seed — The market is kept firm by a speculative demand. There are light stocks on hand, and it is reported that the' cocksfoot seed harvest in New Zealand this season is light. There is no change in prices. Wool — Tho market is rather duller.
