Twenty thousand pounds' worth of' canned goods from America has been shipped back to New York by a firm of London importers, there being a considerable shortage of meat in America. Greatly increased prices for both fresh and canned meat are expected until new supplies come on the market in June. If the stringency, continues, consignments from Australia and Argentine are expected.
