The House of Representatives fixed the duty on Oregon and New Zealand pine (undressed) for all sizes at 6d per hundred superficial feet. The Queensland members strongly opposed the free admission of New Zealand pine,' desiring to insist on the exclusive use of Queensland pine for butter boxes. Against this it was pointed out tthatt t Queensland was herself importing New Zealand pine for her own butter boxes, and"-tnat' orders placed for Queensland pine a year ago were not yet fulfilled.
