THE ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.
WELLINGTON, November 6. Mr. Alfred Reid, of the Shackleton Antarctic expedition, arrived by the Maheno from Sydney to complete arrangements for despatching the Nimrod from Lyttelton in January. He has with him fifteen Manchurian ponies, intended for'work in connection with the expedition.
