DEPUTATION TO THE PREMIER. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 6. < A deputation "representing .thirty-five members of Parliament waited- on the Premier to-day and made the following proposals regarding the Bank of New Zealand: — (I) To place public shareholders on the same footing as private shareholders as to dividend; to reduce charges to the public for banking services, to abolish the charge for keeping school committees' accounts, exchange on cheques, eto. ; (3) to reduce the charges for ' making advances to local bodies; (4) to abrogate the regulation by the bank prohibiting clerks .from marrying unletss in receipt of £200 per annum, which the bank sometimes j witholds until a man is well advanced in life; thus interfering with his common social right. The Premier promised to give the matter his careful consideration.
