The weekly report of the-i&ranaki, Petroleum Co., Ltd:, is as follows: — At No. 1 bore the casing has been lowered past the lost casing in the liole, but m drilling lower, some iron has been met with that is somewhat hard to get past. A small quantity of oil is still coming. No. 2 is perfectly tight except for a little salt water (not sea water) which is coming with the oil from the bottom. This is customary and a good sign. Some six barrels of clean oil were saved, and the rest pumped out with the mud. Gas, also, is now showing somewhat freely. No. 3, whi^is now down 2372 ft., is on a granular limestone formation, and it 'is probable that a test of shutting off the water will be made* early next week. The Inglewood Oil Boring and Prospecting Company's-' bore is 'down to a depth of 130 feet. Hard bouider country is being encountered. '""''•
