MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

WAITARA, July 26. A sitting of the Magistrate's Court was held on Wednesday,, before Mr; H, S. Fitzherbert.. •''

; Punga, a. 'Native; \ras charged with being on licensed premises. Mr. Wilkes appeared for defendant and explained that his client' bad run into the hotel in consequence of a threatened assault. Defendant Was convicted and discharged. W. Croker was fined 5s and costs (7s) for driving over ilie Waitarfc bridge at other than a Walking pace.
