A SCHOONER DETAINED.

Auckland, July. 25.V-Aa.tha result of; an inspection by the Surveyor of Ships, the schooner Awam^i has been detained here for extensive repairs. • The Takapnha arrived *from South at, noon. She sails to-night for Onehunga., The Rotoiti arrived at 5.15 .this niorn-l ing, and sailed at noon for Wellington. The Wainui arrived at -the wharf tft midnight, and leaves at 4 to-day for Onehunga to discharge balance of coal. The Corinna on her next trip will not proceed to Onehunga. The Italian battleship Roma was launched at Spezzia on April 21 in the presence of King Victor EmmanueL The Roma was designed by Signor CKiitiberti, and was laid down on September 20, 1903.
