Sir, — In your account of the above meeting there are one or two errors m t,he Press telegrams. In the appointment of officers J. Arthur Jones (Stratford), should come in just before W. Symes, M.H.R., Taranaki. The deputation interviewed Dr. Findlay and not Sir Joseph . Ward, and the remarks emanated from the same person as to being in sympathy, &c. In reference to whitebait, a fee of £25 and 6d per five gallons was suggested, and not £25 and 5d per gallon. This interests New Plymouth. The Atlantic salmon (salmo salar) mentioned are already in the district, Mr Jones having received a consignment as a present from the president of the Hawera Society last year.
