A CLEARING SALE.

On Wednesday next, Mr Newton King will hold a cleaning sale of farm and dairy stock at Seacliffs, Puniho, on account, of the estate of the late Allen Bell^ This will probably beiibe largest dale of the season" the dairy herd coniprising about' 200 pedigree' and grade Jerseys, iiieluding^S pedigree bulls. In addition .to |ib,esether^ are*. 1,30. steers and fat bullocks, 29. horses (including 16 well-bred heayy draughts), and other live stock and implements.

The dairy herd has been in existence for - the past 22 >yeaps. < During that time the Messrs Bell have not had any plearihg sale: .'They have, carefully culled each year, all female culls having been spewed* before Wing sold. Among, the pedigree bulls Dr. William stands out prominently. , Competent judges have .expressed the opinion that he would hold his ground in any show-ring in the cojjony. As a two-year-old he carried off first prize at tho Taranaki A. and P. Show, 1904; in 1905 he again took first prize in his class .and, also won ..the championship trophy as $he "best pure-b?e{l bull suitable for breeding dairy cattle." lii ,1906 he again :. carried • off ', first and champion prizes. Some of his progeny will also be sold,. ' A notable feature of this herd is that the cows are all young, quiet, and m good condition' ttnd mostly* early dalvers. Special, attention has^ also been paid to the breeding of draught horses and pigs, and persons in want of. either class of stock will find it to tfieir advantage tp attend this sale.
