WAITARA HARBOUR BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Waitara Harbour Board was held on Monday evening. Present: Messrs. G. H. Stubbs (chairman), J. Williamson, W. R. Wilson, H. Chappell, and W. F. Jenkins. The Marine Department notified the Board that Messrs." G. H. Stubbs, H. Chappell, and W. T. Jennings, M.H.R., had been re-appointed members. , Messrs. Sladen & Palmer forwarded a plan for the proposed new coal bin, capable of holding 200 tons. A subcommittee, consisting of Messrs. Wil liamson, Wilson and Chappell, was appointed to estimate the cost of r the rental and conditions of the proposed coal bin, and to report at next meeting. A plan of the proposed new residence for the pilot was laid on the table. The Board resolved that the plans should be accepted and Mr. Wickham instructed to call for tenders. It was resolved that tenders be called for the purchase of the old pilot house.
The Kauri Timber Company wrote stating that they were unable to Supply medium kauri timber. It was decided to purchase first-class.
-The Shipwreck Relief Society wrote asking the Harbour Board's assistance to its funds. . The Board decided to assist if : it could legally do so.
Accounts amounting to tsß were passed for payment.
