COMPLAINT AGAINST A LAND BOARD.

DELAYING SETTLEMENT.

Per Press Auooiatioa. WAIROA, July 24. Complaints are being made at the adjournment of the Tai Rawhiti Land Board, which is supposed to sit here every two months. It only sat once in March, and has now adjourned to \.ug. 14th. The reason given is the "bad condition of the roads ; but the mail coach is rnnning as usual. The Board is supposed to expedite Native land matte; t? ; but, it is alleged, much inconveniaue and trouble have been caused by th.s? delays, since leases cannot be confinutd and the land worked. A very large aroiis awaiting settlement at our baca; doors, but the expected improvement in administration has still to come.
