EVADING THE CUSTOMS.
United Press Association. — By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. (Received July 24, 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 24. The Health Officer discovered seventytwo tins of opium floating near the Heads. They had evidently been dropped overboard from an Easterngoing steamer with a view to' evading the duty. Two Chinamen w*»re 3een in a boat in the vicinity. Apparently they intended to pick the opium up.
