Roper-Barrett (Britain) beat N. H Brookes and A. F. Wilding (Australasia) 3—6, 4—6, 7—5, 6—2, 13—11. Brookes and Wilding were leading 5—45 — 4 in the third set. In the next game they were within a stroke of winning. This gamo would have given them the match. j
(Had Brookes and Wilding won the single stroke wanted at the critical stage, the Davis Cup. would have been won by Australasia, is it is, Australasia is leading Great Britain by 2 matches to 1. Two singles remain to be played.)
