Paul Marie, chef at Tiffin's restaur ant, and Emile Debalman, a young cook who had just been engaged, were badly scalded this morning by the explosion of a steam chest used for cooking food, The report of the explosion and screams of the sufferers attracted assistance. They were attended to and then removed to the hospital. Neither of them is very seriously hurt.

Exhibitors in the forthcoming poultry show are reminded that their birds must be penned this evening. The show opens at 3 p.m. to-morow afternoon, continuing on Friday and Saturday.
