HURFORD ROAD.
From Our Own Correspondent.)
A social was hold at the school in aid of the organ funds on Thursday evening, 11th inst., which was well patronised. Several people not able to attend sent subscriptions. The organ trustees (Messrs- G. Kendell, J. Tate, and J. D. Greenhill) have decided sto devote the proceeds of the social to the purchasing of a handsome brooch, with initials inscribed, as a farewell present to Miss Greenhill, who has officiated as organist ever since the organ's inception. It was fully intended that the 'presentation tc Miss Greenhill should 'have taken the form of another real isenH-off social gathering, but as Miss Greenhill was so unexpectedly called Ito leave the district, we all felt it rather disappointing. We wish her success in her new sphere of life.
