FIRE AT MASTERTON.

A fire ocoufred on Sunday morning, which gutted the premises of Messrs. Walker & Thomas, bootmakers ; Young, tobacconist ; and Rebay, restaurant and provision merchant. It also damaged the upstairs portion of Messrs. Malsby's shooting gallery. ,The destroyed buildings are valued at £2,000 and insured for £1080. Insurances on the property are mostly* small. Some of the occupants experienced difficulty in escaping.
