Horses — Heavy draughts sold at from £30 10s to £42;' medium do., £20 5s to £36 ; light harness horses, £8 15s to £19 10s; hacks, £6 10s to £17. Cattle — At Pukekohe dairy cows, of 'which there were 189 yarded, sold at from £3 10s to £8 12s 6d ; do. heifers, £3 5s to £5 15s ; empty cows, £1 17s 6d to £3 2s; grown steers, £4 17s 6cl to £5 los ; two to three-year-old do., £3 2s to £5 10s; yearlings, £1 17s to £2 18s; calves, 15s to £1 Bs. Beef was yarded in full qxiantities, 98 ti^ad being sold.
Steers sold at from £6 10s to £10 ss; cows, £4 5s to £5 17s 6d. At the Newmarket yards dairy cows sold at from £3 los to £8 10s; empty cows, £1 L"b to £3 Ss; calves, ]6s to £1 9s; oxer, to 22s per 1001 b, and cov/s 17s to 20s per 1001 b. Steers sold at from £6 10s to £10 17s 6d ; cows, £4 os to £6 los. ' Sheep — Wethers sold at 18s 9d to £1 7s 6d, ewes 16s 6d to £1 ss, hoggets 10r> 6d to 17s. Pigs — Porkers sold at from 18s Od to £1 6s; baconers, £1 8s to £2 16s ; wean-| ers, 6s to 15s. j Oats — B grade has advanced to 3s 5d ex store. Fowl wheat is worth from 4s 4d to 4s 5d ex store. Butter is firm. Separator is in very short supply, selling freely at od. Poorer qualities are hard to quit MESSRS YOUNG, HOBBS, & CO.'S REPORT. At Eltham on Wednesday, 17th inst., wo had a somewhat small yarding of mostly female sorts. We quote: — 2£year heifers in calf £2 10s to £3 6s, in calf cows £2 17s 6d to £3, store cows £1 9s, £1 13s, and £2, bull £2 13s.
