EQUITABLE INTERESTS.
Subject to the other provisions of this Act, the owner of any equitable estate or interest in land shall be assessed and liable in respect of graduated land tax as if the estate or interest so owned by. him were legal; but there shall t«e fioducted from the tax of that estate, or interest, the amount of any graduated land tax payable in respect thereof by the legal owner of the land.
