Membership returns were the same as last quarter. Each of the Sunday schools was reported to be in a flourishing condition. The balance-sheet showed a credit on the working of the quarter, without any special effort. This result was considered highly satisfactory for the first three months after division. The returns from each congregation showed a decided improvement on the same quarter last year. Receipts, £57 13s Od ; expenditure, £56 10s Od.

Collections for foreign missions were authorised to be taken up throughout the circuit on August 25th.

Some discussion took place concerning the best method of reducing the debt on the parsonage property at Ingle* wood, and it was unanimously decided to brilig the claims of this fund before the members and adherents of the church in a circular letter; the, principle of raising the amount needed by subscriptions, instead of a bazaar, being approved. Promises to the amount of £16 were made by. members of the Quarter Board to start the fund. It was decided to hold a 'series of special services at Midhurst and Waipuku during the quarter. Following the quarterly meeting, a social was held in the evening, under the management of the Waipuku choir. There was a large audience and a capital programme of songs, anthems, and recitations was rendered. Mr Fred. Asher, of New Plymouth, delighted the audience with his singing, and received several hearty encores. After the concert, an excellent supper was supplied by the ladies of the congregation.
