NEW PLYMOUTH WOOL, HIDE, SHEEPSKIN AND TALLOW SALE.

MESSRS. WILSON & NOLAN'S \ ( REPORT.

We held our usual monthly sale on June 26th, and submitted a good catalogue. Wool — Not a great deal offering at this time of year; all lots submitted were quitted at about late rates. Hides->-In sympathy with the Home and Australian markets, prices were easier ; for butchers', a drop of about id per lb ; damaged and inferior lots were in slack demand. Sheepskins — A good lot came forward, and sound lots maintained last imonth's values. Tallow — No change to report. We quote : — Wool, in bags, fleece 6|d to 7jd; lamb's, 5Jd; crutchings, 5d to sfd; dead, 6|d.

Hides — Butchers' cow 4Jd to sid, ox medium 5d to s*d, kips 4|d to s*d; settlors' hides 2d to sd, according to condition. No prime freezers offered. Calfskins— Sound 6£d, inferior and damaged 4|d. < Sheepskins— Butchers' dry 4s to 5s lOd, part damp 3s 9d to 5s 7d, salted 3s 9d to 5s 7d, settlers' to 4s. Tallow — In casks', shipping lines, medium 24s to 25s 3d; inferior 23s 3d; in tins 16s 3d. Tails — Is 4d per dozen* Horsehair— Medium Is 2d, inferior lid. ' Bones— £3 15s per ton. We are pleased to report tfeat our sales are increasing ejjch month. As the advantages of selling on the sea Nboard are recognised, each sale sees new clients consigning to us.
