CONVENT SCHOOL CONCERT.

In spite of the unfavourable weather,, there was- a large attendance at St. Joseph's school-room '©nThurSday night when the pupils of the Consent School gave a capital concert. The programme was of a miscellaneous character, and the items were all admirably contributed' and met with hearty applause. Programme : — Violin and piano sonata, Misses Smith and Dixon; Welcome Speech, Miss Gwen Blanohett ; • chorus song, "Slowly and Swiftly," senior pupils; dialogue, "Cora's Birthday,'! J. Bennett, C.
