AUCKLAND, June 34. Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report : — Horses — At the Haymarket on Friday last, we had above the average entry. The demand was not so* keen as in the previous week, heavy horses being somewhat neglected. Aged draughts brought from £18 to £25, medium draughts £22 tc £28, buggy horses and good hacks £.12 10s to £21, light harness and ordinary hacks £3 15s to £16 10s, good ponies £5 5s to £7 10s. Hides, skins, tallow, etcy—Hides, ox 5d to 6d, cow 4}ti'to 5*4, kip 5d to sid, calf 6d to 6Jd, horse 9s 6Q to 12s, stag 2£d to 3d, ,damage dhides 3d "to 4Jd, horsehair Is 3d to Is 7id, horns 13s to, 27s 6d per hundred, bones 4s 9d to ss. tallow, 26s to 27s 6d, inferior 16s 6d Skins, best butchers' 5s to 5s 6d, medium 3s 6d to 4s lOd, small and damaged Is to 3s 2d. Cattle — At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle came" forward in usual nuibbers and sold from £4 to £7 10s. Few stores were yarded and sold at late values. Calvesi in short supply, sold freely at from 3s t0. 32s (49 sold). No heavy were penned. There was a full jarding of fat cattle of nice quality, which "sold at late quotations. Steers ranged in price from £7 to £12 2s 6d, cows £3 to £9 5s (368 sold). A draft of 15 steers from- Mr Jas. Muir, of Waerenga, averaged £10 18s 2d.
