♦ - • The death is announced, at the comparatively early age of 55 years, of Mr William John Vaughan Hasluck, which occurred at his residence, Belt Road, on Tuesday. The deceased was well known in this district, and came to the colony many years ago with his mother. He was farming for some time at Bell Block, and afterwards took up land at Uruti, where he stayed for several years. Deceased belonged to a family of manufacturers" in Manchester. He sold his farm at Uruti and came to reside in New Plymouth, investing his capital in house property. He was at one time licensee of tho Breakwater Hotel. Tho cause of death was heart disease.
