The Toronto Globe denies that Sir Wilfrid Laurier is in favour of a permanent Imperial Council* but states that he is willing to unito^with the other > premiers in reaching a definite under- f standing with the Imperial Government ■relative to the position of the colonies - with regard to British treaty obligations.
Sir W. Laurior, interviewed, denies writing privately or officially to Sir Joseph Ward relating to treaty obligations.
