THE LATE MR E. J. CUDD.

The death occurred on Tuesday pf Mr 332. J. Cudd . at bis residence in Devon-street. The deceased gentleman was born mv the Isle of- Man, a*d was a son of Mr W. H. Cudid, who' fought tinder iNelsoi. as a first Lieuteaant, j and was wounded 'in the knee at the Battle of St ."Vincent, , an«d eventually pentioned off.for\ life. He took over tl«j management of tine business that N Had been carried on by MrHoskin which' j he continued for. some' years in the premises adjoining thoso at preterit occupied by Mr Dockvill. -He was erne of tho early pioneers and had to take his share of the hardships of those stirring times.
