TOWN IMPROVEMENTS.

(To the Editof.) ' : Sir, — In reading an account of the Recreation Board's last meeting JI notice that it has been decided to hold a fireworks display in the Reared.tion Grounds on the first night of tfcje Jockey Club's February races. It seems rather unfortunate, that tbfe Board should have chosen that night, as f jt will clash with the Western Park bazaar, for which the ladies <?f the town have now been working fpr some considerable time. As both the Recreation Grounds and Western Park ; are public . grounds, and are being maintained purely for the benefit, of the town, it will be vefy regrettable if the above functions clash in any way, and I sincerely trust that a mutual arrangement will be arrived at between the two Boards to avoid this unfortunate occurrence. — I am, &c.-, j CITIZENJ
