'Work was resumed in the new premises this morning. , -The alterations were made, during , the off-season. An entirely new instalment of the best procurable an-d most up-to-date machinery was put in, and it is'^ expected that this. plant will enable the Company to! keep . pace with' the,increasing requirements of .tte -'[trade.' The output last year for local putter and cheese factories was fifteen hundred boxes per day. The^ new factory, which^is 1-the largest and. best equipped of. its . ', kind , ; in the qolony can produce' two thousand,, five hundred finished butter boxes and , cheese cases per -day. It is 'estimated that aJDOuftwo hundred and' sixty thousand boxes will be required by those companies- this season. Already the Eltham Dairy 'Company, in the opening week of the season is manufacturing one ton and f a half of biitter per day.' The prpspects in other local' factories are equally encouraging. .^ ' '•
