Kir,— Owinjr to the excessive charges ,of the medical fraternity, I have often , wondered why dispensary doctors have not been , agitated for here. In the Old Country these ofKetals aio quit.' an established - institution, as those who have lived there, or who know anything of the place, are fully aware. For the benefit of colonials und others who have no experience of this very desirable state of things, I may briefly explain that dispensary doctors are appointed and paid a ' fixed salary by the 1 Government, "vytfiether their patients are many or feSv, and that .those c.pplying to them are treated gratis. J merely write' to introduce the subject, and shall leave its advocacy to an abler pen than mine, or perhaps you, Sir, might consider it desirable to > initiate" the question by giving your own views' regarding it.— l am. &c, ■I > . . .
