A very pretty wedding took, place at St. Mark's Church on Thursday, 27th July, the contracting 1 parties being Miss Mary Coles and Mr Ronald Allen, the manager of the Tarumtangi Dairy Factory. The ceremony was performed by the Vicar . ox "\Vai+<ara, in Lhe presence of quite a number of people, the service bdhig choral. The bride, who looked very charming, was dressed in white silk, and was attend- ' ed by three maids— Miss Aeklnnd and j two tiny little maids, Miss Tmily Aekland and JlifS Bell Allan— who, with :heir pretty baskets of ilowers and greenry, were" .quite a spectacle. The bride was given away by her ' uncle, Mr W. AY. , Ackland v sen... the bridegroom being attended by his l.i'other-"n-law, Mr J. 1). Wyllio, of .Waitara. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome gold ring, set with opals, and to the maids gold brooches and gold necklets with greenstone h-qarts respectively. Mrs Whoatley ably presided at the organ during the service, imd played Mendelssohn's Wedding March as the bridal l->arty left the church. The! wedding breakfast was served at the i : e.sidence of Mr W . \ r . Ackland, tho bride's i-ousiu, where a large number of yiiosts and lela'tiv«s were eaitcrtainud in a very substantial manner. •hosen remarks, proposed the health' of the bride -and bridegroom. which was responded to by the bridegroom and best man' respectively. The bride, was l\vi recipient of a number of usefid and valuable presents.
