Messrs Jenkins, Matthews. and Pigott report >— At our Urenui yards on Monday there was a fair muster of cattle- Bidding was not brisk at the hammer, but a good number changed nands afterwards. We quote calves up to 32s 6d, iSmos heifers 525, 20m os do. 535, ißmos steers 4Ss, store cows up to £3, springing heifers up to £5, 3yr steers £3 14s, ewes in lamb 21s. At our Waitara yards on Tuesday we had a good attendance, but competition was not keen at auction. However, we sold a few pens subsequently. Calves made from 15s to 28s 6d, IS mos heifers 50s, old cows from 15s. to 225, store cows 41s 6d,' fat cows £4 (is, springing heifers from, £4 7s 6d to £5, do. cows £5 15s, bull 20s, 1 pony There a good attendance . of buyers at our big sale of dairy- cattle, held at. our Waitara yards on Thursday. Competition for everything fresh awd forward was most keen. Lato calvers and those in poor condition were not in much demand, consequent-! ]y a few head were withdrawn from sale on' this account. However, wo aro satisfied that taking the earl i ness of the season and other things into cdnsideration we had a most successful aide. The average price throughout
