SOUTH AUSTRALIAN ELECTIONS.

LABOUR VICTORY.

United Pres» Association.— By Electric

Telegraph, — Copyright .

'Adelaide, May I c?.

The weather yesterday was unfavourable for t'lie elections, which besides those for tLo . Assembly include those for half the seals in the Council. Wot withstanding the intense interest and unusually heavy polling, the only 'burning question, apart from that of Labour versus Liberalisirn, concerns the franchise for the Upper (House. The Conservatives wish to maintain the, £25 property qualification, the Liber^ als %o reduce , it to £10, and the LabM our Party to reduce it to £15. The polling figures will not be. complete in any district till /Monday, but an • incomplete scrutiny shows that a Labour victory is virtually assured, the Metropolitan area and many of the ; districts polling heavily, though the suburban areas are oxpectod to tell against them. Mr Ainidcrson, Attorney -General, is hopelessly defeated for Port Adelaide. .Judging by present indications, the .Ministry _ is dppmed, .so far as .continuance, in office ia concerned.
