SIR JOSEPH WARD AT TAIHAPE.

Taihape, May 20. Sir Joseph Ward arrived aib Taihape on Friday evening. After dinner iha Minister received deputations, requesting iho immediate erection of a new Post Office and new Court-house. An adjournment was then made to the Gretna Hall, where a mass meeting congregated.
Sir Joseph Ward delivered a speech dealing with local affairs, and indicating some of the measures contemplated by the Government next session.
At the close a vote of thanks to the Minister, and confidence in the Government, was carried with acclamation.
