A Wamgunui telogram states that Wr J. R. Rutherford, M.A., of Dunedin/ has been selected as assistant master of the Boys' District High School.

'Mr and Mrs Fryer-RaisJier, of Lepperton, who leave for Auckland tho end of next month, have received numerous) expressions of good wishes and regret from the Horticultural Societies in the district. They have been large and successful exhibitors ai all local shows during the past two years. Their enthusiasm and the choice collection of plants they lake with them will ensure a hearty welcome from tho Northern Committees.

We are pleased to notice that Mr Joe Ward has so far recovered from his illness as to be able to get aboiit.
