JOCKEY CLUB.
To the Editor.
Sir, — Your leading article in Tuesday night's Herald on Mr Samuol and 'tho Jockey Club in, in the opinion of myself and a good number of your readers, not only an insult to one- who has served the Club well for many years, but ii is also unworthy ofyour paper, which as a nilo is free from such articles, and is generally looked ujion as a paper whose* articles, etc., can be held up as a model. You may be interested to know that the opinions of Ihe racing public do not at all agree with you on this point. Mr Samuel lias served the Club well, and I believe the people know it, but
after all, such is gratitude. I think you have done yourself no good and Mr 'Samuel no harm. — I am, &c, DISAPPOINTED.
