RESITATIONS.
E. J. Humjphrey sent in his resignation as teacher of (Miatau and Purangi naif-time schools, halving 'been appointed teaoher at Pungarehu; Sarah E. H'odgton rosigtned as assistant at Urenui; J. C. Fleming teacher Dur-haan-road; Edith M. Heeve, assistant at (Egimoni Village; and J. Harre at Whitianga, tbe latter stating bis application to do temporary duty at Hawera having been refused, although he left Mrs Harre, a capable teacher, in charge of WTiitianga. All ibeso resigfnation,^ were accepted 1 . Mr J. Long asked that in lieu of bis resignation as Hcachor at Tongaporutu he be given six months' loave of absence ito go abroad on important private business. If Mr Long returns to the district within the time the
Board will use its endeavours to secure him an appointment.
