After considerable debate on the F>alvV Wakatipii ferry service, the report of the Committee was laid on the «ert)le. MIDWIVES BILL. Amendments in the Midwives Bill wer« brought down by Governor's .Message. They allowed another year in which midwives now practising may be registered, and also empow«d the Governor to make regulations respecting the use of drugs by midwives. The amendments were agreed to.
