THE CROCKETT-HILL INCIDENT.
Received December 18, 8.30 a.m. Sydaey, December 18. There was a gathering- of cricketers after the match. After congratulatory speeches regret was expressed at the Hill imcident. floble said it was regrett«d as much by tibe Australians as by the visitors and 'by ike majority of members on the ground. In regard to Crockett and the umpiring- in general, it had given every satisfaction- He was quite sure that if Crockett gave Hill out he was out. They all felt an injustice had been done Crockett, and he would like to say officially that the Australian team was quite satisfied that whep either of the present umpires gave a man out they though^ he fas out.
